The conferences add to the teaching and research components of the project, nurturing the synergies that lay within both.

They provide all VISTA network members an opportunity to share initial research findings, discuss teaching experiences, and address common challenges.

Third Annual Conference of the JMN Vista – January 2023

The European Single Market in a Geo-economic World Order

 

On the 16th and 17th of January the Brussels Campus of Maastricht University hosted scholars and students from the VISTA Network. The goal of the conference was to discuss the progress made on the Second Special Issue and to exchange good practices on teaching the Single Market.

In six thematic panels scholars and experts from the VISTA project shared their progress on the papers they are preparing for the Second Special Issue. Their peers’ feedback helped them improve their research. Then, in a roundtable discussion teachers and students shared their ideas for imporving the teaching of the Single Market and tips on how to use technology better in education.

Research and Teaching Workshops

 

In March and May, JMN VISTA experts and scholars met online due to the COVID-19 pandemic and presented their ongoing research and preparation of the teaching and learning materials.

Thanks to the fruitful exchange of ideas and experience, the participants contributed successfully to the First Special Issue and created educational materials for teaching and learning about the Single Market.

Research and Teaching Workshops

 

In June, the JMN VISTA participants met online due to the COVID-19 pandemic to lay down the guiding principles of the project. They split into several breakout rooms and brainstormed about the topic of the First Special Issue. Then, they discussed the conent and format of the teaching and learning materials.

The conference gave our experts ideas for the materials they need to prepare and provided them with basic guidelines to navigate their work.
